Immigrants with children have flocked to America in record numbers over the past century in search of a better life. Immigrant students and their families underwent a protracted psychological, physical, and emotional trip to reach this land of freedom in order to raise their standard of living in a strange land. However, in order to achieve their objective, the youngster must enroll in and attend school. As a non-native English speaker, the road to success is fraught with difficulties since learning English provides several benefits that may transform the life of any immigrant family. What is becoming increasingly evident about this issue is that recently arriving immigrants confront significant challenges in our educational system, whether from their peers, professors, or society. The child must be able to navigate the education system, which is often difficult for non-native English speakers. They must also be willing to attend school and put in the hard work necessary to help their families live the “American Dream”.
